It's time to embrace winter with the kids! We're penciling these winter carnivals into our calendars to fill up our weekends with outdoor fun in Montreal and beyond!

Igloofest 2013 

January 17-February 9, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays only 

Electronic performances, a wacky ski suit competition, and more!  This festival in the Old Port takes place from 6:30pm onward, so it's suitable for families with older kids.

Fete des Neiges de Montreal  

January 19-February 3, weekends only

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, this annual winter tradition at Parc Jean Drapeau is filled with fun activities for all ages!  Tubing, zip-lining, dog sledding, snowshoeing and more make it the ultimate outdoor family activity!

Winterlude in Canada's Capital Region 
February 1-8

While it is quite a drive, Ottawa's Winterlude celebrates the joys of winter, with three fun-filled weeks in February. Canada's favourite winter activities are featured across Ottawa and Gatineau at this annual event.

Montreal en Lumiere  

February 21-March 3 
One of the largest winter festivals in the world, this annual celebration draws 900,000 fans to experience the joy of Montréal wintertime. The unique program combines performing arts, gastronomy and free outdoor family activities.

Starlight Children's Foundation Ski-o-thon 
February 22-23, 8am-4pm

Ski Le Chantecler will transform into the most amazing and largest carnival atmosphere event of its kind in North America.  Over 200 incredible Starlight Children and their brave families will also be present to enjoy the weekend's activities that include, clowns, make-up artists, games, tobogganing and adaptive skiing.

 Bundle up the kids at the carnival with a Chaos hat!
