so, when will you announce the winner??

My little dragons would be absolutely enthralled to see their idol "live". They have been fascinated with dragons since seeing the movie and the clips that came out afterwards. They saw a commercial for the show and have been trying to figure out if what they see is real, and whether or not they could actually find dragons and train them. My boys are very inquisitive and it would really make their year to get to go to this show, I'm sure.

Our girls adored the movie. They love Toothless and I know they would get a real kick out of the live show.
Tamara wrote on 2012-08-07

I think it would be fitting to win tickets to this show, as my two boys (ages 8 1/2 and 6) make me feel like I am the one training dragons! They blaze paths of destruction all over my house and when they're not doing that, they act like Vikings (fart and burp sounds 24/7 anyone?). If that weren't bad enough, they have a 3 year-old sister dragon in-training who in the last two weeks alone has taken a purple Sharpie to my bathroom walls, clogged the toilet with Bakugans and poured a bed of flour on my kitchen floor so she could make a "snow" angel... and there's 3 weeks left of summer???!!! I am outnumbered and out of ideas to keep these wild animals entertained! Seeing this show would be the perfect way to cap-off the summer before the boys and girl get thrown back into the confines of school and daycare - HOORAY!!!! (oh wait, was that out loud???). Please!!! There are only so many Plants vs. Zombies re-enactments a mom can take (and I would someone PLEASE put the screens back on the windows!). Thank you!

I have 3 little dragons (and one BIG one) that I have been trying to train for 4-9 years now...I need some pointers!

My son loved this movie and I would love for him to have the opportunity to see this as he has never experienced a live performance. Being a single parent, attending University full time and working two jobs is very hectic and we could use a bit of a treat. I get one week off a year and I took the week of Aug 13th off....so it is perfect timing. I would love to give my son every possible experience but even working 2 jobs it just isn't always feasible. Only a few more months until I have my Masters degree and we can be a little more comfortable...but until then we could use a little help and down time before school starts and the chaos begins...again.

My son thinks he is a dragon. He runs around the house growling. He is 6. He has a pair of shoes that are black with yellow and orange flames that light up when he walks (i.e., dragon shoes). They are more than TWO sizes too small. He has to curl his feet when he wears them, but he still insists on wearing them and cries when I threaten to throw them away. I am hoping that if I take him to the live show of How to Train Your Dragon he will realize he is a little boy and not a dragon. Then he will wear shoes that fit, and he will not become deformed.

To tell you the truth we don't know anything about this show but my kids love being entertained and also I could turn this into a book report project so that they can get ready for school.
Dina wrote on 2012-08-03

My sons watched this movie and fell in love with it. It would be such a thrill for them to see the show live. On top of it my oldest son's birthday is the week the show is coming to town...what a great present this would be.

My three boys would love to see this show! They are 4,6 and 8. The tickets are quite expensive and since my husband was laid off in March, we cannot extend ourselves financially. I have had to tell them many times over the past five months that we can't do one thing or another because of the cost. It would mean a lot to us to be able to take them to see this show. Thank you for your consideration! Helen 514.739.8163

My daughter wants to marry Hiccup and wear her hair like Astrid. We went to the hairdresser but when we left her bangs long she couldn't see! Sirenna loves this movie and wants to ride the dragons at the show. Perhaps, she will be able to?!

My son Kaiden just turned 5 and I think for the past 6 months he has been waking up every morning at 5am asking to watch How To Train Your Dragon! It is the only thing that he wants to watch, he takes breaks to go outside and play. When its time to come in and relax he always has the same movie request. He would love to see the show How To Train Your Dragon, and I am hoping that by seeing it live he wont be as impressed with the movie anymore and let us sleep a little longer. please make our dream of sleeping past 5 am a reality!

My daughter loves this movie!!!! We've worn out one disc already watching it so many times. She is certain that she is growing to grow up to be just like Astrid. I love the film because it shows a strong female character and engages her in a great film with local talent! Please choose our family to win these tickets!!!
Beatriz wrote on 2012-08-01

I Love the movie! watch it at least once a month! I lough at the same jokes over and over again! [We are Vikings, we have stubbornness issues!- Thank you for summing that up! - Thank you, your useless reptile!] Hiccup is the best cartoon hero in the last decade! Love it, love it, love it! And also my kids are going to be soooo happy! :P

Our twin girls love the story, cheering on all the trainers loudly! They hold their breath through the suspenseful twists and turns. Get ANGRY at the father for turning in Toothless. Each time we watch it- which is frequently. Sincerely hope we win tickets as the girls will remember it always.

My almost 9 year old LOVED this movie so to see it in real life would be a thrill for him. He was devastated when we missed out on seeing Walking with Dinosaurs so this would make up for it 10-fold. Also it's right after his 9th birthday so it would make a TERRIFIC birthday present. Kelly & Josh

Hi there, my husband and 7 year old son, Jakob, and I moved recently from Ontario to Montreal to be closer to family. The move, however, hit my son very hard and he has had a really hard time adjusting as he had many wonderful friends and a good life in Ontario. Just when it seemed things were starting to become stable, my husband was laid off from the job that he had just acquired on the move to Montreal. Finances, due to all of this, have been very difficult, and now with the lay off it seems there is no possibility for any activities that we had hoped to do with Jakob this summer to keep him busy and change his state of mind. Upon seeing the movie How to Train Your Dragon, it became an instant favorite for us, and seeing this show would be such a gift to him that I truly think would help lift his spirits. Outside of winning this contest I know he will not have the opportunityt to see it, so it would be so much appreciated if we would have that opportunity as he has had such a hard time over the last several months for such a little guy being in a new place without friends, to have the opportunity to enjoy himself this much at such a great show. Thank you for the opportunity, I refer to Kid Scoop all the time for ideas and information and appreciate all that you guys do!! Janice

I want to win these tickets for my brother Harris who just turned 5 in July. I would like him (and I) to go see this show, because it was Harris's favorite movie, and also because he is starting kindergarten this year and is absolutely terrified! No matter how much I try to convince him that I will be around in school to make sure he's ok, he doesn't want anything to do with a new school. I think this would be a good way to get him into a good mood about school. Hanna (age 7)

I think that we should win because a few years ago, I brought my son (then about 3&1/2 yrs old) to see the Dinosaurs at the Bell Center BUT not 3 minutes into the presentation... my son got so excited that he "wet" his pants!! Like the stellar mother that I am... I did not bring a change of clothing - doh!! So, out of fear of stinking up the joint, my little man and I did the walk of shame home where he cried the entire journey because I didn't not let him "pet" the dinosaurs (as if...) and believe me... he still talks about it and how evil I am! This is a chance for me to redeem myself and I will not forget the change of clothing this time, haha!

Hi my name is Nicola and I'm starting kindergarden this year. My twinn brothers Alessandro and Davide are beginning Day care and my parents and I are looking for some big boy stuff to do. It would be so cool if I can go back to school and talk to my new friends about the show. Plus, as I say good night to my mom we always say "i'll meet you in my dreams to night." Wouldn't be cool to meet her among the dragons. This is from a cool boy looking for cool things to do and hoping for better dreams.

I think I should win because I come from the land of dragonia and one day I got lost from my family on a family outing.I was very scared when a very nice man named Justin Trudeau found me and brought me to this great city of Montreal. But I miss my family alot and being a dragon I should be in Dragonia and not the Biodome. If I were to go to the show I could ask around the other dragons if they know of the where abouts of my parents and maybe they can help me get home.Dreamworks has always made dreams come true and mine is to be reunited with my family. Please pick me

Wow! A chance to do something that doesn't involve wiping bums, sweeping up sand or applying sunscreen! These tickets could make my life so easy for the next few weeks. Just imagine the conversation around here " if you don't clean your room we won't be able to see How to Train Your Dragon", If you don't eat your veggies, no dragons.....if you don't bring mommy another ice tea no Dragons....well maybe not the last one but I would hold in my hand the ultimate motivator for my two boys and nephew who have ruled my house this summer. Actually, my boys and nephew are great little people and I would love to spoil them with a fun day down town before they trudge back to school. So pick me m'kay? Thanks Kidscoop!

This would be a great chance to bring my grand children out to do something they would like while I am visiting Montreal. My grandson loves dragons and at times I thing he is one when he is playing with his dragons. Please allow an old grand mother to bring her grandchildren, other young mothers have plenty of time to do these things with thier children.. please....

My son loves anything that has to do with dragons or with dinosaurs. He's fascinated by the way they fly and names all of his toys after the dragon. He pretends he's a dragon and when he passes gas, he says it has the strength to kill a dragon, it's so potent! I would love to do this for him and I would be so thankful if we could go! Thanks!

My six year son, made us go watch when it came out. Once the DVD came out we purchased and we keep watching it over and over again. He also convinces his sister and brother to play out some of the movie parts. it is fun to watch my 2 year be the dragon trying to catch your older brother and sister. For Christmas he asked for Hiccup with his dragon along wiht the how to train your dragon play station game.

We rarely get to take my son (who has ASD) to affairs like this due to fact that lately, since his diagnosis, our finances have been used for private services for him, so that we do not have to wait 2 years+ for public services from psychologists, ergotherapists, etc... To have an opportunity to take him to an event like How to Train Your Dragon, to see his face light up at the mere possibility of theatrical experience would make our hearts sing!
Mathieu wrote on 2012-08-01

Ever since the first "dragon" movie came out my son has been a dragon! He flies around the house, growls at people, breathes imaginary fire, and fights off evil dragons! I of course have to join in and be the Papa dragon, which fatten draws stares from people on the metro, waiting in line at the grocery store, and church!!!!

We just acquired a dragon and it's destroying our house. She laid four eggs and we fear the worst - mostly that we'll have 5 untamed dragons creating havoc in the neighborhood. Please help us TAME OUR DRAGON(s)!

Why I should win, hmmm, I'm brave and resourceful and a rebel to boot but have never learned how to train a dragon! My beloved (almost) 4 year old nephew and godson is fascinated with dragons and has asked for a fire breathing dragon for his birthday (September 7). Not sure I can give him that but it would be fantastic to take him to see this movie. Although the age range for this movie is a little above my nephews age, he is a very bright, not bragging, verbal 4 year old...Do we get to go? Thank you for the opportunity ;) I'm a strong and confident single mom, always looking for activities for my daughter and I to attend. Even though dragons are a 'boy's' thing, she would love it, and we already have a friend of hers join us, as a birthday present to him from her. An excellent opportunity! Thanks again.

Hi, I'm a single mother of three boys who have a love/hate relationship. They love to bother one another, play fight and get each other into trouble with me. But if anybody else bothers one of them, the other two are quick to come to his defense. My oldest will be 10 years old in the beginning of August and the twins turned 8 years old mid-July. I have been on my own with them since the twins were 5 months old and therefore do not go on vacation with them due to safety reasons as well as financial reasons. This ytear has been especially hard since my oldest hit his head at school in the Fall and got a concussion. Then one of the twins had strabismus eye surgery in the Spring and then, in June, his twin brother fell on his arm at the playground and sprained it. I guess he didn't want to be left out. I usually have a birthday party for all three boys at the same time since their birthdays are close together and they are close in age. However, this summer has been difficult and I have not been able to do so. All three boys have seen the movie and have read the book. It is one of their all-time favorites. This would be an amazing birthday gift for my three boys and I would be off the hook for not being able to give them their usual birthday party. Furthermore, maybe I will even learn a thing or two about HOW TO TRAIN MY BOYS.
